The SCAA MTB League consists of 5 High School Mountain Bike Races, this includes a Georgian Bay invitational event. The invitational race series is open to all schools in the area who run a team. The low cost to participate in the series (1-5) is $45, this series is volunteer run not for profit. Riders simply pay for minor operational costs, toilet rentals, race plates, awards and other fun stuff.
The cost to participate in only one race including the Georgian Bay region invitational event is $25 preregistered, $30 day of. All registration must go through [email protected]. Two one day permits will register you for the series.
In order to get specific race maps and details, riders must have a school coach and or parent school representative register them. They will then be added to the email mailing list.

SIMCOE MTB RACE SERIES
Key points and Schedule
- Actual race routes and start locations are TBD, all race locations are confirmed, race maps will be made available ASAP race routes will be subject to course conditions
- CCI will host all races however other schools are asked to help volunteer to officiate, time and or mark courses (that school is asked to guarantee arrival by 12:30 day of the race)
- In the event of extreme weather week Thursday races can be moved to Monday, races that cannont occur on either day will be cancelled
- All Coaches must collect $45 from each participant, this covers end of year awards, signage, Race number plate (1 per series, $5 for lost plates), facility fees and setup costs, total series fees to be made payable to Collingwood Collegiate
- The $25 is a onetime fee per rider regardless of how many races your participate in, all races are invitational however overall team points are limited to GBSSA schools, riders and schools can join the series late but will still pay the same fee
- Driving directions and race course map will be sent out by email before each race
- All races begin promptly at 2:30pm, racers are asked to arrive at least 1 hour prior to warm up and register, race start will be staggered however all riders will share the course
- GB Championship Day will feature a low cost BBQ and also extra draw prizes (for all participants)
- On the GB Day the following awards will be presented
- Team award for Top school in the entire race series (all races top 4 finishers)
- GB Championship awards for the top team overall on the day for each age/gender group
- Ride guides and local shops may be on hand to provide tunes, warm up help and race tips (TBD)
- Students are reminded to bring bikes in good working order, tunes ups day of should be avoided
- All riders should practice 10 times before GBs and 16 times before OFSAA, this supports legitimacy, training and safety concerns leading into competitive race events

- the rain date for each date will be the following Monday
- races will only be rescheduled for lightning or extreme weather.
